January Favorites

I want to start getting back into all of my monthly favorites, starting with my January Favorites. I wanted to post a combination of things I purchased and items I use every day. I am not trying to go with one particular theme, but just items that I have enjoyed.

I saw these butter bells on Tiktok and thought this is something stupid that will sit on my kitchen counter. Personally, I love butter toast but I constantly forget to let the butter sit out on the countertop. I recently bougth this butter keeper from Crate and Barrel. To start you place 1/3 cup of water into the base, pack one stick of butter firmly into the bell shaped lid and press out any air pockets, and just place the lid into the container. Make sure you replace the water every 2-3 days which only takes a couple of seconds. The butter bell is literally the best things since sliced bread. I noticed the Crate and Barrel is on backorder so I found some great options (option 1, option 2, option 3, option 4) on Etsy.

These charm necklaces are the perfect gift idea or craft to make. I made my own charm necklace in the middle of January and I’ve received so many compliments! I created an entire post on how to make your own charm necklace so check that out! I have found the best charms on Etsy but you can obviously splurge on fine jewelry charms depending on your budget.

I attend a lot of conferences so I typically have dress business professional which means I have to wear a lot of tights! I usually wear sheer tights but my biggest pet peeve is when they snag. Honestly holes in tights drive me insane and can make an outfit look like an absolute mess. I was targeted my Instagram with a sale on Sheertex tights. I have found you can usually get the tights on sale if you wait long enough! I got mine for $35 as I would never pay full price for them. If your tights rip, they have a 90 day policy to replace the tights which is very fair. I haven’t worn them yet but I will report back!

Pieces from MacKenzie-Childs are truly works of art hence why they are in my January Favorites. I know they are expensive but each piece is hand-painted my artists. I think of these items as a special gift for myself every year and slowly build my collection. I have a lot of the Courtly Check print but am slowly building up my Flower Market collection. I know the colors are truly not for everyone but they do have more neutral pieces as well. They have a barn sale online every year so you may be able to snag an item for a good price! If you visit NYC make sure to stop by the Soho store the decor is truly magical.

  • Microfiber Hair Towel: Personally, I don’t know how I didn’t use these towels before. The microfiber towels help my hair dry a lot quicker!
  • Maybelline Gloss: Lifter Gloss with hyaluronic Acid that visibly smooths the lips and enhances the lip as well for a very hydrated look. The lip gloss doesn’t have the best staying power but I really lie it for the price.
  • Hair pins: Watch a hair tutorial on how to use these French or U clips in your hair. I am able to get all of my hair in a clip that looks like an effortless updo.
  • Hair Bow Clip: I have been wearing these super cute hair claw clip everywhere. Having the fabric on a traditional claw clip adds a little extra flair!
