Thanksgiving Host Gifts

Whenever we go to someone’s house that is hosting a get-together we bring gifts that the host or hostess can use year round. I generally like to stay away from super holiday-specific gifts even though being festive can be super fun! Carly and I put together some great host gifts that are less than $100!

Top 10 Host or Hostess Gifts

Luxury tea or coffee: Ask your host if they prefer sipping on tea or coffee. Vahdam Tea was endorsed in Oprah Winfrey’s Holiday Gift Guide. The brand itself strives to achieve high quality standards, reduce plastic waste, and is certified as climate neutral. Their packaging for their gift sets is incredible. If your host enjoys flavored coffee try Southern Bell Coffee! Roasters Kimberly and Michael Slack have created an iconic coffee brand with Louisiana roots. It starts with a blend of gourmet coffees, freshly roasted every day at their roasting company, which has been operating in Louisiana for more than 120 years! Pair this gift with a few coffee mugs and you have the perfect gift!

Fancy candles or candle sets: We know candles can be hard to buy for someone else, but we wanted to round up some of our favorites! We often buy candles from Bath and Body Works. If you want a fancier candle option that is a stand alone gift on their own, take a look at: Jonathan Adler Candle, Diptyque Candle Set, or the Le Labo Candle. If your host has young kids in the house and doesn’t like to light candles, consider the new Pura diffuser as most of the fancy candle scents are available.

Makeup Gift Set for the glamour hosts: If your host/hostess loves Sephora, they have the Holiday Savings Event going on now! I personally love the L’ Occitane hand creams, Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb travel duo, Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Set , and the Tarte Eyeshadow set.

Mug and Warmer Set: This modern-looking mug comes with a special charger that uses magnetic induction energy to heat up the metallic layering on the bottom of the coffee mug. Your morning beverage of choice is kept toasty, keeping the temperature around 135ยบ and, better yet, the warming base doubles as a wireless cellphone charger.

Dish towels for the kitchen: Dish towel sets, aprons, and cloth napkins are always a staple in entertaining and kitchen decor. I have seen fabulous linens at the local Home Goods, Anthropologie and Target. I personally own the Bistro collection from Anthropologie in my kitchen as the black, white, and gold combination matches everything! I love their Christmas themed towels (1 // 2 // 3 // 4) .

Vase with flowers: A lot of people I have found, including myself, love flowers but I don’t have any pretty vases to display them in! A great idea would be to buy a beautiful unique vase (1 // 2 // 3) and buy flowers from your local market. If you host is very themed for their event, just ask them what the color theme is so you can buy flowers that can be displayed at the event.

Pajama Sets: Every year my family members get all new Victoria’s Secret flannel pajamas. It’s basically tradition every single year. Gifting a new pajama set is perfect especially in the winter as most people spend a lot more time inside. I also love numerous pajama sets from Nordstrom (1 // 2 // 3 // 4).

Olive oil: We recently went to upstate New York for a small get-away. We discovered this great olive oil shop called Saratoga Olive Oil Co. We have tried their spice mixes to add to olive oil for bread dipping, Tuscan Herb and Baklouti Green Chili olive oil. They have very unique olive oil flavors compared to other stores I have been to. In addition, the gift sets are already nicely wrapped it’s a one stop shop! We use the tuscan herb olive oil to saute vegetables and for simple pastas. The green chili olive oil has a kick to it! We use a couple sprinkles to cook our egg whites in for our avocado toast.

Manicure and Pedicure at a local spa. It’s been a rough year. If your area is not locked down and your host feels comfortable going to the spa, consider a gift certificate for a mani/pedi. If you live close by try to schedule together so you can get a meal before or after!

Harry and David Gift Baskets: I know this seems cliche, but honestly these baskets contain very fresh items that everyone would want to eat. I have never been disappointed in the freshness of the items. You can ship these gift baskets directly to the host’s house! They are so visually pleasing. I have gotten the pear box before and O.M.G who knew pears could be so delicious. They have boxes filled with dessert, gourmet food items, wine, fruits, spreads, dips, ect. The options are truly endless. If someone got me a gigantic box of quality food items I’m pretty sure they would be my favorite person on earth.
